Message From The Chief

Welcome to the Kalispell Police Department. We are very pleased to provide additional access for the public to the Department through this on-line medium.

Our Mission at the Kalispell Police Department "is to ensure the highest level of public safety while protecting the rights and dignity of those we serve. We are dedicated to professional excellence by exemplifying honesty, integrity, professional competence, compassion, positive leadership, and respect for the public, to whom we are ultimately accountable. We will engage the community through collaborative partnerships which identify the causes of crime and strive to reduce crime and the fear of crime, through the unbiased enforcement of the law."

We have initiated a number of programs that seek to strengthen our relationship with our service area. Our motto is "policing through partnerships". We believe the best way to reduce crime and the fear of crime is through building partnerships. The School Resource Officer Program, the Police Advisory Council (a citizens volunteer group), Block Watch, the Stop/Meth website and our Crime Prevention Program are excellent examples of that approach. We recognize that the best way to accomplish a safe community is to collaborate with citizens on providing for their own safety. We will do everything in our power to improve the health, safety and welfare of the public through our services.

If you have any questions or comments, please let us know.
